Welcome to my website! I hope you find something insightful while you're here.
A little bit about me: I am a Principal Research Analyst in the Energy Transition practice at Wood Mackenzie, a global consultancy providing data analytics, market research, and advisory services across the energy sector. I lead the firm's coverage of on-grid and off-grid power and energy transitions in Africa and the Middle East, and previously spent more than 5 years leading WoodMac's coverage of solar PV in emerging markets. I regularly publish research studies and thought leadership articles on trends in the energy transition and present my work at industry events around the world (and virtually these days, of course!). My research and writing have recently been featured in such publications as Foreign Affairs, The Economist, the FT, The Washington Post, Bloomberg, Nikkei Asian Review, The Conversation, and Greentech Media. I also conduct affiliated research as a Non-Resident Fellow at The Energy for Growth Hub, the Energy Access Project at Duke University, and The Payne Institute at the Colorado School of Mines. I was also a 2021 National Fellow at the Clean Energy Leadership Institute. I previously worked in solar asset management and commercial operations at SunEdison and on clean energy transition-focused regulatory research for utilities and policymakers at the National Regulatory Research Institute, and supported market development and strategy for Mee Panyar, a startup implementing a community-based operations and capacity-building model for mini-grids in rural Myanmar. I hold a Master of Energy & Environmental Policy and a B.S. in Economics and Energy & Environmental Policy from the Biden School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Delaware. |
